Applies to every economic circumstance. Every crisis is different, and even when not dominated by pure ideology as LA is with his “recommendations”, the biggest mistake of policy makers is applying lessons from the last crisis to the current one. That largely led very smart people, including Jerome Powell, to assume inflation will be transitory this time - all the inflation fears in 2008 turned out to be wrong, after all.
LA’s are based on pure political ideology, which is worst of all.
